The commissioners of the Dutch DPA 

The Dutch DPA has a chairman and two other commissioners. The chairman and commissioners are appointed by royal decree at the recommendation of the Minister of Justice.
The term of office for the chairman is six years and can be extended by six years by reappointment. The term of office of the commissioners is four years; these terms can also be extended by four years by reappointment.

The commissioners are:

  • J. Kohnstamm, chairman
  • J. Beuving, commissioner
  • M. W. McLaggan-van Roon, commissioner

Extraordinary commissioners

The Dutch DPA also has extraordinary commissioners that come from different social sectors and have special expertise. The Dutch DPA can turn to these commissioners for the performance of its tasks. The extraordinary commissioners are also appointed for a four-year term by royal decree on the recommendation of the Minister of Justice.

The extraordinary commissioners are:

  • U. van de Pol (appointed in 2005)
