Pursuant to Article 61(6) Wbp, the Dutch DPA must render all necessary assistance to the supervisory authorities of other Member States if this is requested.
Convention 108 of the Council of Europe contains similar obligations for the countries that are a party to this convention.
Moreover, the cooperation between the supervisory authorities is generally growing more intensive. The Dutch DPA regularly receives requests for assistance from foreign sister institutions. The simplest requests can be quickly handled through a common, private web site. In some cases further investigation is required.
