European data protecion supervisory authorities

The European supervisory authorities meet every spring in a private conference. This conference is used to exchange information on current activities and to discuss common subjects.

Originally, only the supervisory authorities from the European Union took part. Later, they were joined by the supervisory authorities from the European Economic Area (EEA) and today, other countries with an appropriate level of privacy protection also participate (Switzerland and Hungary). Countries that are working towards this goal (Poland, the Czech Republic) participate by invitation.
