Consultative committee Council of Europe 

In Article 18 of the 1981 Convention 108 of the Council of Europe, a Consultative Committee was instituted. This consultative committee (called T-PD) has a broad range of tasks and is to advise on all issues regarding the protection of personal data.

All parties that ratified the convention are represented on the consultative committee.

In the past years, the committee made a number of proposals for supplementing and updating the convention. Two additional protocols have been prepared within this scope and adopted by the Committee of Ministers.
