Reports are usually the outcome of larger exploratory or official investigations into the circumstances regarding the protection of personal data in specific organisations.
In the Background Studies and Investigations series, the Dutch DPA publishes the results of studies into developments in society that affect the personal privacy of citizens. In this way, the Dutch DPA wants to contribute to the social discussion. In many cases, the meaning of the normative framework - the act - is, as far as possible, worked out into practical details for the subject of the study.
