Article 29 Working Party elections: Jacob Kohnstamm elected chairman of the European Data Protection Authorities
The Article 29 Working Party elected Jacob Kohnstamm, the president of the Dutch Data Protection Authority, as its next chairman. Artemi Rallo Lombarte, Director of the Spanish Data Protection Agency, and Michal Serzycki, the Inspector General of the Bureau for the Protection of Personal Data in Poland, became the new vice chairmen. Kohnstamm has already served as vice chairman during the term of his predecessor, ensuring that an experienced data protection specialist will remain at the helm of the group in the face of diverse challenges. He has a mandate to lead the group for the next two years.
